Micromax Canvas HD A116

On Tuesday when, Micromax posted an image of a phone amidst splashing colours and said “coming Soon” we speculated it was the A116 Canvas HD. Today Micromax confirms that it is indeed the expected quad-core processor based next phone in Canvas series. Yesterday evening the company posted another image of the phone, showing its side face. The splashing color background is exactly the same as was in the Tuesday’s image. The company clearly says “CAN give you incredible speed. Coming Soon!” and also promises blazing fast speed. Today’s picture show the on/off button will be placed on the right side of the phone (The first image showed the button on the left side) which will have a plastic body with metal outline to the front screen. On the opposite side volume increase and decrease button will be places (we can easily guess). The model seems to be like the Canvas 2 from the side face, except the placement of the buttons and the thinness of the metallic rim. The curves are improved and add to make the phone look smell. The camera will be totally embedded in the back panel unlike in the Canvas 2, in which the camera outline was slightly protruding out. In the next page see other images of the phone. This image was posted on Wednesday displaying the full HD IPS screen resolution and a front camera placed on the left of the ear piece. This phone will be the first quad-core from the company, and sport HD IPS screen with a HD resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels and a color depth of 16.7 million. Priced below Rs. 15,000, the A116 Canvas HD will be available across all leading retail outlets in India from first week of February, 2013, the company revealed earlier.
